change can be an exciting and scaring thing. some changes are good, some are bad, but most are difficult. change always require sacrifice and how much are you willing to give up for change?
people have a change of heart, they change their mind, we change our clothes...change happens everyday whether we are aware of it or not. is change easier when we are prepared for it or is it easier to adjust to when we are thrown in the middle of it?
change require all those traits that i hold dear to my heart...
you must have hope - a hope that change will result in amazing connections, amazing experiences and amazing relationships.
you must have strength - it take strength to embrace change and see the good.
you must have love - this is a difficult one. love does not always came natural, especially when the change means sacrifice. but love must abound, otherwise bitterness or resentfulness can take hold. trust me, love is the better way to go.
you must have trust - trust in the bigger picture, trust in yourself, trust in those around you and above all trust in the one above, for he will not forsake you or me.
you must remember - remember who you are, remember where you came from, remember those who helped you along the way, remember why this change means something.
you must have courage - courage to face change head on, courage to take on the world and make it a better place. must have courage to stand firm and hold tight.
change is never as easy as you would like it to be - but we do it every day - and you get to choose how you want to face change.
you know a dream is like a river
ever changin' as it flows
and a dreamer's just a vessel
that must follow where it goes
trying to learn from what's behind you
and never knowing what's in store
makes each day a constant battle
just to stay between the shores
and i will sail my vessel
'til the river runs dry
like a bird upon the wind
these waters are my sky
i'll never reach my destination
ff i never try
so i will sail my vessel
'til the river runs dry
too many times we stand aside
and let the waters slip away
'til what we put off 'til tomorrow
tt has now become today
so don't you sit upon the shoreline
and say you're satisfied
choose to chance the rapids
and dare to dance that tide
- "the river" garth brooks
